About
Satu Samira Hamed is a Finnish-Egyptian Planetary Futurist, keynote speaker, and executive mentor. She works with leaders, organizations, and institutions to apply planetary foresight and systemic insight to make sustainable, regenerative, and future-ready decisions.
Grounded in the belief that the future is not something we predict but something we co-create, Satu helps leaders navigate uncertainty with clarity, creativity, and courage. Her work empowers changemakers to align their strategies with planetary boundaries, climate ethics, and new economic models, logics, and mechanisms that support the wellbeing of all life.
She is a PhD researcher in Planetary Governance at Tampere University, in the Department of Business and Technology Management.
She is the founder of Planet Diplomats. She has also co-founded Sustinaires ry, a Finnish association for sustainable digital development and served at the board of Design and Posthumanism Network.

In today’s world, digitalisation often perpetuates outdated systems and reinforces harmful patterns. While technology itself is neutral, the ways we design and apply it are not. Satu challenges us to see digitalisation not just as a tool for efficiency, but as a powerful force when developed consciously. She asks us to rethink how we design services, governance and business logic to align with the boundaries of our planet. This means shifting from siloed, linear thinking to interconnected, living systems.
